Indians-Royals postponed; doubleheader set for Sunday

Kansas City, MO –  Friday night's series opener between the Cleveland Indians and Kansas City Royals at Kauffman Stadium has been postponed due to inclement weather.

The Indians have had three previous games postponed due to weather already this season, while tonight is the Royals' third postponement of the season.

The contest will be made up on Sunday as part of a split doubleheader. The first game will begin at 2:10 p.m. (ET), with the nightcap slated for 7:10 p.m.

Angels-Twins postponed due to rain

Minneapolis, MN –  Wednesday's game between the LA Angels of Anaheim and the Minnesota Twins has been postponed due to inclement weather.

Temperatures were predicted to be in the high 30s for the scheduled first pitch at 8:10 p.m. ET, with a wintry mix of snow and rain expected.

No makeup date has been announced at this time.

Cardinals-Pirates postponed

Pittsburgh, PA –  Tuesday's matchup between the St. Louis Cardinals and Pittsburgh Pirates has been postponed due to inclement weather.

Rain started coming down during the second inning and picked up in between the second and third. Heavy rain was expected to continue until around midnight.

The Pirates led 4-2 at the time of the delay after scraping together five consecutive singles in the bottom of the first inning against Cardinals starter Jake Westbrook.

St. Louis notched two runs in the top of the first on Matt Holliday's single up the middle and Yadier Molina's groundout to first.
