Michigan mother vanishes during late shift at gas station

Michigan police investigating the mysterious disappearance of a mother who works at a gas station are now calling it an abduction case, while her family is pleading for her return.

Jessica Heeringa, 25, vanished Friday night around 11:15 p.m. during her late shift at the ExxonMobil gas station in Muskegon.  Her purse, belongings and vehicle were left behind, and police were notified after a customer called 911 and said no employees were at the station, Fox 17 reports.

“She’s a good mom. She loves her family…she wouldn’t just leave,” April Dyer, Heeringa’s future sister-in-law, told the station.

Heeringa has a 3-year-old child, and Dyer said her fiancé is distraught.

Norton Shores Police said Sunday that they are searching for a silver Chrysler minivan driven by a white male, who is around 30 years old and described to be six feet tall.

Exchanges heat up between prosecutor, psyche expert during Arias trial

Testimony has concluded for the day in Jodi Arias' murder trial as the prosecutor worked to undermine a defense witness' credibility and accused her of being biased.

Psychotherapist Alyce LaViolette has been testifying for more than a week about her conclusion that Arias suffered domestic abuse by the victim.

Prosecutor Juan Martinez accused her on Monday of being biased, noting how the woman apologized to Arias upon their first meeting for having read her journals. LaViolette denied the accusations. She resumes testimony Tuesday.

Arias faces a possible death sentence if convicted of first-degree murder in the 2008 killing of Travis Alexander in his suburban Phoenix home. Authorities say she planned the attack in a jealous rage, but Arias says it was self-defense.

Pacers hoping to get 4 injured players back during 4-game western road trip

Pacers coach Frank Vogel says he's hoping to get all four of his injured players back during a four-game road trip that begins Wednesday night in Houston.

Indiana played Monday night without swingmen Danny Granger and Lance Stephenson, point guard George Hill and power forward David West.

Vogel says Stephenson (strained right hip flexor) probably will play Wednesday night and that West could play. West has missed the past five games with a sprained lower back but did some post-practice work Tuesday.

Granger, who has missed most of the season with patellar tendinitis in his left knee, and Hill (strained left groin) are more likely to miss at least one more game.

No injuries reported after 2 rockets hit Israel-Gaza border town during Obama visit

Israeli police say no injuries have been reported after two rockets slammed into an Israel-Gaza border town during President Obama's first visit to the country.

A police spokesperson tells Fox News one of the qassam rockets landed in a yard of a home in the city of Sderot in Southern Israel and authorities are searching for the other, which they suspect landed in an open field.

As a presidential candidate in 2008, Obama visited Sderot, which is frequently targeted by rocket attacks from the nearby Gaza Strip. The territory is ruled by the militant Palestinian Hamas group.

No group immediately claimed responsibility for Thursday's attack, which came as Obama was in Jerusalem. He is to visit the West Bank city of Ramallah later in the day.

Shake on a plane? FAA investigating after students film Harlem Shake video during flight

The latest craze to sweep the Internet is bringing college students the wrong kind of attention -- from the Federal Aviation Administration.

During a flight from Colorado Springs to San Diego, a group of students started the Harlem Shake, a dance to a song of the same name.

In the suddenly popular YouTube videos, one person starts dancing, then the video cuts to a large group of people dancing, many in costume.

Matt Zelin, a sophomore, told the Colorado College newspaper, The Catalyst, he asked a flight attendant for permission beforehand.

FAA spokesman Allen Kenitzer said Thursday they're looking at what phase the flight was in during the dance in the aisles.

Frontier Airlines says the seatbelt sign was off and safety measures were followed.
