Arlington, TX – Texas Rangers Opening Day starter Matt Harrison underwent a second operation to repair a herniated disk in his lower back.
The procedure, which took place Wednesday, means Harrison likely won't return to the mound until at least August.
Harrison, who had surgery April 23 on his back, is 0-2 with an 8.44 earned run average in two starts this season after going 18-11 with a 3.29 ERA in 2012.
